Afsana joins us with a strong track record of driving efficient operations, delivering exceptional service, and building meaningful connections across organizations. With more than 10 years of experience in administrative and HR leadership roles—most recently at Solaris Management Consultants and the Vancouver Regional Construction Association—she brings the right mix of structure, adaptability, and people-first thinking to support our mission.

Afsana succeeds Darlene Dyson, who retired after an incredible 31 years with BC 1 Call. We are grateful to Darlene for her outstanding leadership and dedication, and we are confident that Afsana is well-prepared to step into this role, having been thoroughly trained and mentored by Darlene during this transition.

What stands out most about Afsana is her ability to combine sharp organizational skills with a genuine commitment to service. Whether she’s leading complex projects, managing change, or directing key programs and systems, she brings warmth, professionalism, and a steady hand to every challenge. Her background in the public, private, and non-profit sectors has shaped a collaborative, solution-oriented approach that aligns perfectly with the way we work at BC 1 Call.

In her role, Afsana will lead core operational areas including system oversight, billing, contact centre coordination, member relations, and internal administration. Her attention to detail and dedication to excellent service will be a major asset to our members, service users, and industry partners as we continue to grow and evolve.

Afsana holds a Bachelor of Science in Electronics and Communication Engineering and a Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resource Management, underscoring her strong foundation in both technical and people-centered disciplines.

Please join us in giving Afsana a warm welcome—we’re thrilled to have her on the team!
