These updates help keep BC 1 Call’s critical safety service affordable and sustainable, ensuring members pay only for their notifications while continuing to receive reliable, province-wide protection.

Notification Fees Remain Unchanged in 2026

BC 1 Call is pleased to confirm that notification fees will remain at $2.65 per notification for the third consecutive year. BC 1 Call does not charge a membership fee; members are billed only for the notifications they receive and never pay for their own excavation activity.

Each notification supports safe excavation practices and helps protect underground infrastructure across BC. Our continued focus on operational efficiency allows us to deliver this essential safety service at the lowest possible cost.

Easier Payment Options

To improve convenience and flexibility, members may now pay by:

  • Direct deposit
  • Credit card (2.5% processing fee applies)

Statement of Account: New Format

Members will receive a newly formatted Statement of Account, making it easier to understand usage and keep accounts up to date. While we hope you will appreciate this new format, we are always available to assist with any questions you may have on these updates.

Late Fees

Late fees of 1.5% per month will be applied to balances outstanding beyond 30 days. Timely payment helps BC 1 Call continue providing reliable, province-wide notification services without increasing per-notification fees.

Annual Minimum Notification Deposit

Most members exceed $25 in annual notification fees. For those who do not, a $25 annual minimum deposit will be applied in January, as outlined in the Membership Agreement.

  • The deposit is applied to future notification fees
  • Any unused balance remaining as of January 1 of the following year is retained by BC 1 Call

This minimum annual deposit helps offset the administrative, communication, and system support provided to every member regardless of usage. We are confident it represents excellent value for our critical public safety service.
